The design story
Carved,
not stitched
Most sneakers are assembled — twenty-odd pieces cut flat, then sewn and glued into the shape of a foot. The Helios 3 starts as one solid block of composite foam and ends as one continuous body. The midsole isn't attached to the upper; it is the upper.
Nothing to peel. Nothing to delaminate. The ridges running the length of the shoe are the tool paths left behind — the making is the design.
